From a viral TikTok video (5M+ views) to a luxurious brand elevating the aesthetic of kitchens where the best spices come alive.
Our story
In 2019, I moved into my first dream apartment and instantly fell in love with my kitchen. I started organizing, labeling, and curating the perfect setup — every spice, jar, and cabinet thoughtfully in its place. When I ordered spice jars and labels from Amazon, I quickly realized they didn't reflect the way I actually cook. The selections felt generic, the aesthetic fell flat, and nothing matched the rich, intentional kitchen I was building.
So I designed my own — elegant, refined labels that matched the aesthetic I loved while honoring the bold, layered flavors that define my cooking.
Fast forward to 2021, when my dear mum visited from Nigeria. She arrived — as all mums do — with a suitcase full of spices, foods, and snacks. She completely took over my kitchen, cooking the most incredible meals and filling my home with the most familiar, comforting aromas. When she left, I went to cook the next day and noticed something that made me burst out laughing: she had scraped off some of my labels and hand wrote the names of spices I hadn't made stickers for yet. I recorded it for TikTok — and that video went viral, hitting over 1 million views in just 24 hours.
The comments flooded in — people laughing, relating, and asking where they could get beautiful spice labels that actually reflected how they cook. That was the moment everything clicked. This wasn't just my story; it was a shared one. A community of people who take pride in their kitchens, their flavors, and the beauty of both.
And so, what started as an unexpectedly viral moment became the foundation for Spice Art — a Luxe kitchen brand built on the belief that your kitchen deserves to look as elevated as the food you create in it.
